Opportunities and Harms of Cyberspace 2 Farnaz Mashayekh *1, Hanieh Hajizadeh Date of Acceptance: 2023/07/19 Date of Publication: 2023/07/29 Abstract Introduction and Objective: Cyberspace, the internet, is a new generation of social relationship space and, despite not having a long history, has been able to establish itself well in people's lives.
With the arrival of the era of modern communication technologies and their pervasive expansion, which brought with it new concepts such as virtual reality and cyberspace, many changes and transformations were created in human life, influencing human existence and creating profound transformations in the structure of societies and relationships between individuals (Rownaghi, 1396).
Information technology is one of the new phenomena that has connected all parts of the world through spider-web-like, intertwined, and woven communications, and it has expanded to such an extent that it has become a part of human life, to the point where in some cases, performing daily tasks without it would be difficult; at the same time, like other tools, this space has good or bad uses and can be used in a positive or negative direction.
Despite these opportunities and harms in current society, after the pandemic of Corona, the availability of smartphones and the internet for everyone, easy access to all good and bad information, and the believability of individuals in the information available therein, and the influence and modeling of individuals from this space, it has become necessary to know what cyberspace is and what concept it holds?
