Abstract:
Divine calling and spiritual upbringing from the perspective of Islam are the most important missions of a teacher and educator. A worthy teacher and educator must, from a religious viewpoint, possess specific characteristics and qualities so that they can achieve human cultivation while teaching. Being a teacher is a great privilege that not everyone can attain, because a teacher must be someone who leads humans toward perfection and progress, a duty that not everyone can fulfill. Teachers have the duty to guide a confused nation from the valley of ignorance and misguidance to the destination of guidance and happiness. Teaching is the profession of human-making; the research method of this study is analytical-descriptive and involves collecting information in a documentary-library format. In the present research, by explaining the educational perspectives, the position of respecting the student and the proper way a teacher should interact with a student in the Islamic educational system has been addressed. In this article, in addition to a general overview of the Islamic school of teaching and education, we have addressed the position of the teacher, the mission of the teacher, and the characteristics of a teacher from the perspective of the revelatory verses of the Holy Quran and the luminous traditions of the Infallibles (peace be upon them). We consider the mission of a Quranic teacher to be the same as the mission of God and the mission of divine messengers in guidance, guardianship, leading out of darkness toward light, and fostering human growth and perfection to approach the presence of the Truth.

Regarding the research objectives and the benefits of the article, it should be noted that in the school of science and knowledge, the teacher enjoys a very valuable and lofty position; one can refer to the Holy Quran as the best way to express the role, mission, and characteristics of a teacher and educator, as well as by examining traditions (hadiths), noting that recognizing the Sunnah and the Itrat (the Prophet's progeny) does not only have a religious aspect but can also serve as a blueprint for practical aspects and a way of life.
It introduces God as the first teacher of mankind, who said to His Prophet at the beginning of his mission: اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ; Read in the name of your Lord who created, خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ; created man from a clinging substance, اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ; Read, and your Lord is the Most Generous, الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ; Who taught by the pen, عَلَّمَ الْإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ; taught man that which he knew not (Surah Alaq, Verses 1-5).
