Abstract:
The Quran, the heavenly book of Muslims, is full of knowledge that was revealed by God through Gabriel to the heart and tongue of the Prophet (PBUH), and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) recited it to a group of his companions, and the scribes of revelation wrote it under the direct and continuous supervision of the Prophet (PBUH). Thinkers of every era have devoted their utmost ability and talent to investigating its sciences, one of which is the science of Quranic recitation (Qira'at). The recitation and chanting of the Quranic verses is considered one of the most important issues of the Quran, such that many individuals were responsible for its recitation and teaching in Islamic society, and their efforts were aimed at being able to present the best recitation as the correct recitation, considering the various recitations and their impact on the understanding of the Quran; the Seven Reciters (Qurra' Sab'a) have discovered some of its secrets. In this research, after reviewing basic definitions and titles, cases of differences in recitations among the seven famous recitations (Qira'at Sab'a) that affect the interpretation of the Quran in the blessed Surah Al-Mu'minun are presented. Then, the impact of the differences in the Seven Recitations is analyzed, showing that differences in recitation affected the meaning in 13 cases, and in 11 cases, they did not create any change in the meaning. Given that scattered research has been conducted on the differences in recitations of some Surahs of the Quran, including Surahs Al-Nur, Maryam, and Baqarah; however, it is necessary to investigate the differences in recitations in all Surahs of the Quran so that Quranic researchers can correctly perform interpretation resulting from the differences in recitations.
