Abstract:
Shahriar's familiarity with the silver screen is completely evident through the references found throughout his works. However, to what extent Shahriar was acquainted with the seventh art? This requires a comprehensive and precise study to judge the scope and depth of Shahriar's cinematic literacy. The present article has attempted, using descriptive and analytical methods; by extracting, comparing, and interpreting some of the cinematic terms in Shahriar's long poem 'Del-e Hazyan', to reveal another aspect of his capabilities to his eager followers.
