Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to show the difference between idealist American and Iranian communities, with a reflection of two novels Bioten and Kedar by Reza Amirkhani.Idealism is one of the common themes in works of literature. It is clear that idealism is different in different communities depending on culture, religious beliefs and social needs, and when comparing sometimes idealism is different in two different communities. The present paper has examined the difference of the two views in American and Iranian communities according to what has been reflected in two novels Bioten and Kedar by R. Amirkhni, and concluded that among the five components and ideas which their differences have been addressed, social relationships, business and economics reflect the most debate and difference between the two cultures, although the bias and sensitivity in Iranians family and marriage are considered more than other components. Also it had been proven that the basis of reflecting idealism aspects in Iranian community in a clear way is only religion and religious orders, while in American community, science, civilization and law are far more functional than religion.It should be noted that the difference between these two communities on idealism components never has been expressed as a statement and standard in novels, but hidden and symbolic and different points are the results of the paper analysis.Keywords: Idealism, Utopia, Reza Amirkhani, Bioten, Kedar

The present article, which was conducted using the content analysis method in a library-based manner through direct study and comparison of both texts, investigates the opposition of these two perspectives in Iranian and American societies based on what was reflected in the two novels Biyutan and Qeydar by Reza Amirkhani, and has reached the conclusion that among the five components and constructs that we have addressed regarding their oppositional aspects, social relations and profession and economy show the most conflict and difference between the two cultures; although prejudice and sensitivity in the construct of family and marriage is greater among Iranians than other components; it has also been proven that the basis for manifesting the aspects of idealism in Iranian society is clearly only religion and religious commands is; whereas in American society, science, civilization, and law have a function far greater than religion.
