Abstract:
It seems that social networks, as the widest and fastest communication networks, have an impact on the emergence of the phenomenon of divorce and their effect on married life. The present research aims to investigate the relationship between the amount of social network use and the divorce rate in Shadegan County. The statistical population of this research includes all divorced men and women aged 20 to 40 in Shadegan County in the year 1397. The research method is survey-based. In this study, two questionnaires were used: the positive and negative effects of social networks questionnaire and the inclination to divorce questionnaire. The research showed that there is a significant and direct correlation between the amount of social network use and divorce. This study revealed that there is no significant correlation between the components of virtual communication with friends and acquaintances, the development of public participation, and the rapid formation of false news and rumors with divorce; however, there is a significant correlation between the components of targeted internet advertising, education, anti-religious advertising and the suggestion of doubts, and the negative behavioral impact and violation of individual privacy with the divorce rate.
