Abstract:
The present research was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between HEXACO personality dimensions and Type C personality type. The statistical population includes all students of Islamic Azad University, Tabriz, from which 242 currently studying students were selected as a statistical sample using the single-stage cluster method. Then, the HEXACO personality dimensions questionnaires (Ashton & Lee, 2001) and the Type C scale (Rahe & Solomon, 1997) were completed by the subjects. This research is of the correlational type, and the data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis, and SPSS17 software was used for data analysis. The findings of the research showed that Type C personality has a significant negative correlation (p < 0.01) with the dimensions of extraversion and openness to experience. Also, among the HEXACO personality dimensions, the dimensions of extraversion and neuroticism were able to predict Type C.
