And it is self-evident that that Excellency was the confidant of God's secrets, and according to the correct view: sixty-two years, eleven months, and eleven days was the lifespan of the Holy Prophet, and he spent fifty-three years in Mecca, forty years before the mission and thirteen years after the mission, and ten years in Medina after the Hijra, and the duration of his prophethood was twenty-three years.
Some say that: among those twelve, [these] four pure lights are the most superior: first, the Father of the Imams, Ali—peace be upon him—; second, Imam Hasan—peace be upon him—; third, Imam Husayn—peace be upon him—; and fourth, Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq—peace be upon him—; as it is well known that they say: the Ja'fari school; because during his time, Taqiyya (dissimulation) was lifted, thus the divine rulings were spread by him—peace be upon him—and the sphere of his authority was also manifest.
