Second Chapter In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and in Him we seek help And praise be to Him for whom the tongue falls short in praising Him, and blessings be upon His Messenger, His servant, and upon the successor of the Prophet, his heir, and the masters from his progeny, the Qa'im who comes after him; That is to say, all forms of incomparable thanks and praise are due to the Owner of Sovereignty, for the praising of every praiser and the being praised of every praised one belongs to His banner; and every perfection is from the radiance of the splendor of His beauty, grace, and bounty; and every blessing in the realm of possibility and benevolence is a beggar at His door, as all intellects are incapable of expressing gratitude for His endless blessings; because each of these blessings is evidence of His Oneness and Self-Sufficiency, such that the scrolls of time and the registers of night and day are inadequate to record and write them, and the very pupils of the eyes of the chosen ones are blind to truly witnessing His gardens and proofs; for that Eternal Painter and that Everlasting and Timeless God has exercised such power that no matter how much the masters of intellect, the scholars of rational and transmitted sciences, the perceptive sages, and the profound intellects of mankind contemplate every atom of the universe, whether existent or non-existent, they cannot perceive the reality of the weakest of creatures, which is nothing in the sight of all, nor can they fulfill the obligation of thanking Him. O God, O King, O Merciful, O Generous!
