And it has been said: "الرزق کل 1 ما ینتفع به" 2 which encompasses all divine blessings and gifts, whether material or spiritual, whether apparent or hidden; therefore: knowledge, understanding, consciousness, religious teachings and signs, the coming of messengers, and the existence of successors (Awsiya) and saints (Awliya), all these are termed blessings and sustenance; on the other hand: the blessing of life, health, housing, dignity, honor, power, clothing, food, and whatever constitutes the core of material affairs and worldly life is also our blessing and sustenance; the Quran speaks to this: ﴿ألم تروا أنّ اللّه سخّر لکم ما فی السّماوات وما فی الأرض وأسبغ علیکم نعمه ظاهرة وباطنة﴾ (لقمان(31):20) Now that the scope of sustenance has expanded to this extent, it must be noted that from all these gifts and provisions, the believer must, in their proper place and in response to the guidance that through revelation has been given to him فی المصد:ـ کل ارشادالاذهان الی تفسیرالقرآن،ج1،ص 7 has been given, he must spend in the way of God for His creation; [especially] from knowledge, as it is explicitly stated in a hadith: ﴿وممّا رزقناهم ینفقون﴾ meaning: from what we taught them, they spread.
