Abstract:
Evidence shows that the uncontrolled expansion of the Tabriz metropolis, based on the desires and needs of the urban society, will cause extensive transformations and changes in various aspects of life for some of the villages in its influence zone. The rapid growth of the city's population and consequently, the overflow of part of the population to the villages in the influence zone, which is mainly carried out with the aim of work and activity or obtaining land and housing, is among these transformations that itself causes major changes in the type of economic activity of villagers and also the land use of such villages. The main objective of the present study is to examine these changes and explain the role of population economic transformations in them. The foundation of the study is based on field studies, and to examine and analyze the subject, 'descriptive-analytical' and 'documentary' methods have been used. For testing the relationships, the Chi-square statistical test, the Phi (φ) and Cramer's V correlation coefficients related to this test, and the F-test have been utilized.
Machine summary:
4-Hypotheses It seems that the land use change of the studied villages is related to factors such as: the frequency and reasons for commuting between the city and the village, the place of employment and the type of job (including primary and secondary jobs) of household heads, the increase in land value, and migration (intra-regional migration).
2-6-Determining sample size As is evident from the figures provided in Table 1, in the year 1384 (at the time of conducting field studies), the populations of the villages of Alavar Sofla, Bagh-e Ma'rouf, Shadabad Mashayekh, and Kandroud were 3218, 6283, 4300, and 7995 people respectively, and in terms of the number of households, they were 673, 1530, 982, and 1908 households respectively.
The four villages of Alavar Sofla, Bagh-e Ma'rouf, Shadabad Mashayekh, and Kandroud, which constitute the statistical community of the present research, are located in different geographical directions and in the vicinity of this city (Figure No. 1).

10-3-In the studied plots, the most significant changes in commercial-service land use are observed in the villages of Bagh-e Ma'rouf (28.
