To proceed: The servant in need of the help of his Lord's mercy, Haydar Ali bin al-Sheikh Jamal al-Din — may Allah Almighty forgive their shortcomings — says: These are commentaries that have issued from me spontaneously, amidst a scattered mind, containing the interpretation of Surah al-Ikhlas and the interpretation of some of the noble verses from the verses of the Great Criterion (al-Furqan), and I have dedicated them to His Excellency the Grand Emir, the Honored Sayyid, and the Venerable Mawlawi, the descendant of the progeny of the Master born of Adam, the purity of the great Sayyids, and the remnant of the magnificent Naqibas, who possessed leadership and authority through inheritance and merit, and rose above all his peers and equals with the adornment of pleasing morals and innate character, distinguishing himself from others of his kind through compassion and kindness, the pure, clean, and loyal Sayyid, the Deputy Safi Khan; may the days of his reign remain coupled with eternal happiness and everlasting success, by Muhammad and his family, the best of creation.
Among the realities and eloquence of this Surah is that He, Exalted and Sanctified, has explained: First: that He is the True Identity, then He followed that with Oneness (Ahadity), and He arranged Oneness after His Divinity and not vice versa; because His Divinity is the expression of creating all and the need of all for Him, and everything that is thus is absolutely One; for if He were not One from all aspects, He would be all in absolute self-sufficiency.
