Abstract:
On December 13, 2004, a symposium titled 'The Sovereignty of the Constitution; Solutions and Obstacles' was held in Tehran at the Islamic Countries Conference Hall, through the efforts of the Board for Following and Monitoring the Implementation of the Constitution. Professor Farzaneh, Mr. Dr. Nasser Katouzian, also presented a paper titled 'Logical Principles Governing the Interpretation of the Constitution' at this symposium. Given the strategic position and importance of interpretation in the field of constitutional law, especially its prominent position in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the text of Professor Katouzian's speech is presented below to the esteemed readers.
