Abstract:
In the verses of the Holy Qur'an, Gabriel, angels and their role in the execution of Allah's orders are mentioned many times. Allah considers faith in angels to be a necessary condition for piety, and He considers enmity with Gabriel as enmity with Himself. Faith and friendship are not possible without knowledge; therefore it is necessary to know Gabriel to the best of everyone's ability. This research is based on the semantic network theory, which is tied to the name of Izutsu in Quranic studies, and seeks to find the nature of Gabriel from the perspective of the verses of the Holy Quran. Based on rational restriction and according to the words of Gabriel's companion and substitute in the Qur'an, there are four possible hypotheses: Gabriel is an angel; Gabriel is a spirit; Gabriel is both spirit and angel; Gabriel is neither a spirit nor an angel. After deep contemplation on the verses, studying the interpretive sources and analyzing and investigating, it was concluded that Gabriel is from the angels and like them, he has a certain position and it is not possible for him to rise or fall from that position. In this certain position, it is known that he has a high level of sanctity and trustworthiness. Therefore, it is permissible to call him and any owner of such a spirit, respectively, Holy Spirit and trustworthy Spirit.

Conclusion: In this research, after examining various concepts such as ruh (soul), the word of command, revelation, malak (angel), qalb (heart), Ruh al-Qudus, Ruh al-Amin, and many Quranic verses related to the word Gabriel, the following results regarding the nature of Gabriel were obtained: 1.
