Abstract:
Ali bin Muhammad bin Shabrat al-Kashani. One of the hadith narrators of the third century. He is a narrator of many hadiths in early Shia books such as Al-Mahasin and Al-Kafi. Great hadith scholars from Qom such as Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Khalid al-Barqi, Muhammad bin Hasan bin Farrukh al-Saffar, Ibrahim bin Hashim, and his son Ali bin Ibrahim are among his students. Based on this, through this narrator, one can reach the relationships between the hadith school of Qom and the narrational circle of Kashan. His presence in various regions where the spread of hadith was prevalent indicates this scholar's special interest in acquiring hadith. In this article, the places of residence of his teachers are assumed as the probable locations of his presence for acquiring hadith. The text of his correspondence with Imam Hadi (AS) indicates that he was one of the Shia scholars and that theological disputes regarding the attributes of God existed in his place of residence. There is also evidence of this scholar's great connection of Kashani to the family of Imamate. Hadith teachings

1. Personality Identification Among the famous traditionists of the third century, whose name is mentioned by Sheikh Tusi and Najashi and appears in the chains of narration of some Shia traditions, is Ali bin Muhammad bin Shirah Kashani.
The experienced and famous Shia Rijal scholar Najashi writes: "Ali bin Muhammad bin Shirah Qasani (Qashani) Abu al-Hasan was a jurist, a narrator of many hadiths, and a knowledgeable and virtuous man, but Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Isa criticized him and stated that he had heard unpleasant views about him, yet in his books, nothing is seen that indicates such a matter" (Najashi, 1365: 255).
In Shia hadith books, only one narration via "Ali bin Shirah from Muhammad bin Sulayman" has been stated (Kulayni, 1407: 3/209), because some consider "Ali bin Shirah" and "Ali bin Muhammad al-Qasani" to be two different titles for two different persons (Khoei, 1413: 13/160).
