چکیده:
ﻋﺮﺻﻪ ﻫـﺎی ﻣﺨﺘﻠـﻒ ﮐﺘﺎﺑـﺪاری و اﻃﻼع رﺳـﺎﻧﻰ ﻫﻤـﻮاره ﺑﺮ اﺛـﺮ ﻓﻨﺎوری ﻫـﺎی زﻣﺎﻧﻪ ﺧﻮد دﭼـﺎر ﺗﻐﯿﯿﺮ ﺑﻮده اﻧـﺪ. ﻫﺮﭼﻨـﺪ ﮐﻢ وﮐﯿـﻒ اﯾـﻦ ﺗﻐﯿﯿـﺮات ﯾﮑﺴـﺎن ﻧﺒﻮده اﺳـﺖ و ﺑﻪ ﻟﺤـﺎظ زﻣـﺎن و ﻣـﮑﺎن ﺗﻔـﺎوت ﻋﻤـﺪه ای ﺑـﺎ ﻫـﻢ داﺷـﺘﻪ اﻧﺪ، اﻣـﺎ آن ﭼـﻪ ﻫﻢ اﮐﻨـﻮن اﺗﻔـﺎق اﻓﺘﺎده اﺳـﺖ، ﻧﻘﺸـﻰ ﭘﺮرﻧـﮓ دارد و ﺑﺪون درک ﺷـﺮاﯾﻂ ﻓﻨﺎوراﻧـﮥ ﮐﻨﻮﻧﻰ و آﺷـﻨﺎﯾﻰ ﺑﺎ اﺻـﻮل آن، ﻓﻌﺎﻟﯿﺖ ﻫﺎ و ﻓﺮاﯾﻨﺪﻫﺎ در ﻣﺤﯿﻂ اﻃﻼع رﺳـﺎﻧﻰ و ﺧﺪﻣـﺎت اﻃﻼﻋﺎﺗـﻰ ﭼﻨﺎن ﮐـﻪ ﺑﺎﯾﺪ ﻧﺨﻮاﻫﺪ ﺗﻮاﻧﺴـﺖ ﻧﯿﺎزﻫﺎی ﮐﺎرﺑـﺮان و ﻣﺨﺎﻃﺒﺎن را ﺑـﺮآورده ﮐﻨﺪ. ﺿﻤـﻦ اﯾﻦ ﮐـﻪ ﻋﻼوه ﺑـﺮ اﻣـﺮ اﻃﻼع رﺳـﺎﻧﻰ ﻣﺤـﺾ، ﻧﻘﺶ ﻫـﺎ و ﺳـﺎزوﮐﺎرﻫﺎی دﯾﮕـﺮی ﻧﯿـﺰ ﺑﺮﻋﻬـﺪة ﻣﺘﺨﺼﺼـﺎن ﻋﻠـﻢ اﻃﻼﻋﺎت ﮔﺬاﺷـﺘﻪ ﺷﺪه اﺳـﺖ ﮐـﻪ ارزش اﻓﺰودة ﻣﺸـﺎﻏﻞ اﻃﻼﻋﺎﺗـﻰ را ﺑﯿﺶ ازﭘﯿﺶ ﻧﻤﺎﯾـﺎن ﻣﻰ ﺳـﺎزد؛ ﺑﻨﺎﺑﺮاﯾـﻦ، آﺷـﻨﺎﯾﻰ ﺑـﺎ ﭘﯿﺎده ﺳـﺎزی اﯾﻦ ﮔﻮﻧﻪ ﻓﻨﺎوری ﻫـﺎ ﮐﻪ ﻫﺪف ﮐﺘـﺎب ﺣﺎﺿﺮ ﻧﯿﺰ ﻫﺴـﺖ، ﻣﻰ ﺗﻮاﻧـﺪ ﻣﻮﻓﻘﯿﺖ ﻫـﺎی ﺑﯿﺸـﺘﺮی را ﻧﺼﯿﺐ ﮐﺴـﺐ وﮐﺎرﻫﺎی ﻣﺮﺗﺒﻂ ﺑﺎ ﺣﺮﻓﮥ ﮐﺘﺎﺑـﺪاری و ﻋﻠﻢ اﻃﻼﻋـﺎت ﮐﻨـﺪ. ﮐﺘـﺎب ﺣﺎﺿـﺮ ﺑـﺎ درک اﯾﻦ دﻏﺪﻏـﻪ ﺑﻪ دﻧﺒﺎل اﯾﻦ ﺑـﻮده ﺗـﺎ در راﺑﻄﻪ ﺑﺎ اﺑﻌـﺎد ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻒ ﻣﺸـﺎﻏﻞ اﻃﻼﻋﺎﺗـﻰ و ﻓﺮاﯾﻨﺪﻫـﺎی اﻃﻼع رﺳـﺎﻧﻰ، ﻣﻄﺎﻟﺒـﻰ را در اﺧﺘﯿـﺎر ﻣﺨﺎﻃﺒﺎن ﺧﻮد ﻗـﺮار دﻫﺪ، اﻣﺎ در ﯾـﮏ ﺑﺮداﺷـﺖ ﮐﻠـﻰ ﻣﻰ ﺗﻮان ﮔﻔـﺖ ﮐﻪ ﺑﻪ ﺧﻮﺑﻰ ازﻋﻬﺪة اﯾﻦ رﺳـﺎﻟﺖ ﺧـﻮد ﺑﺮﻧﯿﺎﻣﺪه اﺳـﺖ. در اﯾﻦ ﻣﻘﺎﻟـﻪ ﺿﻤـﻦ ﺗﺸـﺮﯾﺢ وﯾﮋﮔـﻰ ﮐﺘـﺎب، ﻧﻘﺎط ﺿﻌـﻒ و ﻗﻮت آن ﻧﯿـﺰ ﺑﯿﺎن ﺷﺪه اﺳـﺖ ﺗﺎ ﺧﻮاﻧﻨـﺪه ﺑﻬﺘﺮ ﺑﺘﻮاﻧـﺪ در اﻧﺘﺨـﺎب ﻣﻨﺒـﻊ اﻃﻼﻋﺎﺗﻰ ﺧـﻮد ﺗﺼﻤﯿﻢ ﮔﯿﺮی ﮐﻨﺪ.
The different arenas of library and information science have
always been changing due to advances in technology. However,
these changes have not all been uniform and, in terms of time and
place, have differed significantly. Without having an understanding
of the current state of the art of technology and being familiar
with its principles, one may find it hard to understand how the
activities and processes in information centers can meet the
needs of their users and audiences. Information experts have put
forward other roles and mechanisms for nurturing the information
industry that more clearly reveal the value added by information
services. Therefore, familiarity with the implementation of such
technologies, which is also the goal of the book, can bring more
success to business-related library and information science. By
addressing this concern, the book seeks to provide information
about the various dimensions of information services and
associated jobs. But, in a general sense, it can be said that the
book fails to achieve the goals it has set for itself. The review,
while outlining the book’s features, also discusses its weaknesses
and strengths
