The story of suffering and treasure is a story whose content is an allegory that reminds us of the
value of work and the result of hard work. The original of the story is from the French poet La
Fontaine with the name (The Farmer and His Sons), Mohammad Taghi Bahar wrote the story in a
ten-verse masnavi. It is named with the title (Suffering and Treasure) which is taken from the
rhyme of the last stanza and it has made some changes according to La Fontaine's story. Professor
Hejar has included it in the educational literature section of Divan Poetry and it is in the form of
Masnavi and in ten stanzas. has translated it, this article has clarified with analytical-descriptive
method and comparative approach that the title of the story is called by Professor Hajjar (Ranj V
ganj) and he has translated it in the same Masnavi format and in ten verses, but his translation is
also It is different from Bahar. One of the differences is that Bahar calls for work and its importance
in the first stanza and considers it as an eternal capital, but Ostad Hajar did not translate the first
stanza, perhaps because the story itself expresses the stanza. is the first In the second stanza, Bahar
uses the imperative verb "watch" and says, "Look what that wise farmer said, but Master Hae Jar
begins the story with the past tense, when that farmer advised his children." In the seventh verse,
Bahar mentions that their father passed away and they worked very hard in the hope of finding the
treasure. Ustad Hejar has stated that after the death of their father, his sons started to explore the
earth like warriors and with their shoulders and forearms. With all their strength, they overturned
the whole earth. Ostad Hajjar has mentioned all the details based on rhyme and accurate
understanding, which shakes their shoulders and forearms. Bahar says in verse 9 that because of
all the turning over of the soil and good ploughing, he earned seventy grains from each grain, that
is, one to seventy, but Ostad Hajhar says that the land was so well turned over that in the following
year, one to seventy He gave a hundred products, which differ in number. Because Kurdistan is
like one to one hundred sides and it means the best product, if a product is one to one hundred, it
is the best product. This verse has been translated according to the culture of Kurdistan. Bahar
mentions in the eighth stanza that the boys brought iron oxen and shovels, but Ustad Hejar said
that they brought shovels, plows and pickaxes, Bahar did not mention the pickaxe, and Bahar says
in the second stanza that they dug up all the land and nothing was left. was, but Master Hejhar
states that in addition to uprooting everything, he refers to the hands and feet, that they hit the
shovel with their hands and kicked the shovel with their feet, and threw the soil to the other side,
Bahar Keli said that the reader should understand But Ostad Hajhar has said in detail. In the story,
the proverb of suffering and treasure is mentioned, and in this research, the proverbs about
suffering and reaching the treasure are adapted. The main message of the story is the value of
suffering, which means that the more you suffer, the better you will get. Whatever a person wants
and strives for, he gets it.
