چکیده:
The purpose of this research is to investigate the extent of alignment between business intelligence capabilities and components in order to create business intelligence advantages based on the Gartner maturity model. The research method is considered applied in terms of its objective and descriptive-correlational in terms of data collection. The statistical population of the research consists of 149 small and medium-sized companies, from which a sample of 108 companies was selected using cluster sampling based on Morgan's table. Finally, by collecting 100 questionnaires from these companies, structural equation modeling was used to measure the relationships between the research variables. The results show that there is a significant relationship between business intelligence capabilities and its components, and the moderating variable of business intelligence maturity levels does not have an impact in this regard. Also, there is only a direct relationship between business intelligence capabilities and its advantages, and the mediating variable of business intelligence components cannot establish an indirect relationship between business intelligence capabilities and business intelligence advantages. Therefore, no significant relationship was observed between business intelligence components and its advantages.
خلاصه ماشینی:
Implementing business intelligence requires accurately identifying business intelligence capabilities appropriate to the operational area of each company and aligning its components so that, considering the business intelligence maturity path, the advantages expected from it are realized with the highest level of organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Although business intelligence systems, as high-level technological technologies, are sometimes defined as synonymous with decision support systems and organizational planning systems that have reporting and analysis factors for decision-making (Chen, 2006), they also include ad hoc queries, real-time analytical processing, predictive models, and data mining tools.
Accordingly, since the alignment of information technology in business improves goals, strategies, resources, integration, investment and other business factors (Ahmadi, Moqaddam, Izadbaksh, Qorchian, 1391), it can be stated with certainty that business intelligence brings vital added value to small and medium-sized companies.
Business Intelligence Capabilities and its Components Hegerty and Hostman (2010) believe that the Gartner maturity model, in addition to technology and technical applications, also includes people, skills, processes, and performance indicators.
The level of analysis in this research, considering its variables, namely capabilities, components, and benefits of business intelligence, is small and medium-sized companies.
On the other hand, the findings of the present research, as Watson and Wixom (2007), Cronius (2010) and Ahmad (2015) have stated, emphasize capabilities such as management support and commitment, team skills, and clear business visions as non-technological components of business intelligence that are placed in the data analysis dimension of the Gartner model and lead to increased business intelligence benefits and organizational success.
