چکیده:
In recent years, media managers have made significant efforts to achieve a framework for transitioning from traditional newsrooms to converged newsrooms. Therefore, identifying the obstacles and challenges that newsrooms face in this process is very important. This research attempts to identify the effects of convergence in the form of a comprehensive set of challenges and obstacles in four categories: technological, organizational, cultural, and institutional factors. To identify these challenges, the methods of perceptual content analysis and surveying were used. Accordingly, the results of numerous studies on the impact of convergence on newsrooms were analyzed, and then, through surveying in the newsrooms of the Hamshahri newspaper, the obstacles and challenges of convergence were identified. The results of the research conducted in this field indicate that the lack of a culture of participation among newsroom personnel, the lack of constructive interaction between print and online newsrooms, the time-consuming process of training multi-skilled and flexible personnel, and the lack of necessary investment in the field of applying new media technologies are among the most important obstacles to convergence in newsrooms.

Investigating the Effects of Convergence on the Management of Print News Media Case Study: Hamshahri Newspaper Taher Roshandel Erbatani 1, Ali Divandari 2, Sara Jane 3 * Abstract In recent years, media managers have made significant efforts to reach a framework for transitioning from traditional newsrooms to converged newsrooms.
The results of the research conducted in this field indicate that the lack of a culture of participation among newsroom staff, the lack of constructive interaction between print and online newsrooms, the time-consuming process of training multi-skilled and flexible personnel, and the lack of necessary investment in the use of new media technologies are among the most important obstacles to convergence in newsrooms.
Based on the framework of Dahlgren's media logic theory and examining the multi-media space from institutional, technological, organizational, and cultural perspectives in this field of convergence studies, he has presented a new framework called multi-media logic in journalism, which provides the possibility for research to examine the challenges ahead in facing converged newsrooms and the resistance of news preparers in accepting convergence [8].
Since our goal is to identify the challenges and obstacles facing news organizations in converging newsrooms, while one of the most important challenges in this area is the resistance of newsroom personnel to changes in their work procedures, we have also used one of the most widely used theories in the past four decades in the field of communication studies, known as the innovation diffusion theory, to identify the challenges and obstacles to convergence in this research.
