The Role of Educational Technology in Realizing the Standard School: An Approach Based on Teacher Experiences and Research Evidence Zohreh Najafi Master of Educational Technology, Islamic Azad University, South Tehran Branch Abstract Technological transformations in recent decades have changed the role of the school from a knowledge transfer environment to a learning and multi-dimensional institution.
The findings show that educational technology, by providing personalized learning opportunities, strengthening motivation, improving teaching quality, developing 21st-century skills, and enhancing school management, is one of the most effective factors in school transformation.
Educational technology is not limited only to digital tools; rather, it includes learning design, modern teaching methods, intelligent assessment, interactive learning environments, and educational data management (Mishra & Koehler, 2006).
The importance of this issue stems from the fact that the standard school is not just a theoretical concept, but a practical framework for improving the quality of learning, enhancing school management, and developing the skills required by the new generation (Ministry of Education, 2012).
Third, domestic and foreign studies emphasize that educational technology can significantly increase the quality of learning, motivation, participation, and learners' skills (Clark & Mayer, 2016; Jonassen, 2014).
Therefore, examining the role of educational technology in realizing the standard school is not only theoretically important but also practically essential for managers, teachers, and policymakers.
Educational technology, by providing interactive learning environments, the possibility of personalized learning, strengthening motivation, increasing student participation, and developing twenty-first-century skills, plays an important role in improving the quality of learning (Clark & Mayer, 2016).
