چکیده:
The present research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the impact of academic motivation on the cognitive development and educational progress of elementary school students. Academic motivation, as one of the essential components of learning, plays an important role in directing learner behavior, increasing active participation, and improving the quality of the teaching-learning process. In this article, the role of academic motivation and its various dimensions in improving the cognitive development and educational progress of elementary school students has been analyzed from cognitive, emotional, and behavioral perspectives. Additionally, factors affecting the formation and strengthening of academic motivation, including the classroom environment, teaching methods, the type of teacher interaction with students, and educational feedback methods, have been examined. The research findings show that intrinsic and extrinsic motivations have a significant impact on increasing focus, persistence in learning, and improving the academic performance of students, and serve as a foundation for the growth of their cognitive abilities. Accordingly, the present article emphasizes the necessity of purposeful attention to motivational strategies in elementary education and provides practical suggestions for teachers and educational policymakers to enhance academic motivation and improve learning outcomes.
