Teaching method is a set of principles, educational activities, and classroom management methods that a teacher employs to achieve learning objectives. In other words, the teaching method is the best and fastest way that every teacher must follow to reach educational goals. A successful teacher is one who has the skill to use teaching methods appropriate to the circumstances; because the teaching method is the core of education and through this, the teacher can both raise the level of students' knowledge and fulfill their educational mission. Active teaching methods are defined as methods in which students actively participate in the learning process and, through group activities, discussion and exchange of views, problem-solving, educational games, and other interactive activities, achieve a better understanding and mastery of concepts. Using active and experiential teaching methods as effective tools in the learning process plays a very important role in strengthening the spirit and motivation for learning among students. In this regard, the present research was conducted with the aim of investigating the merits and advantages of using active teaching methods. The present research is a review study, and its statistical population consists of Persian articles published in domestic journals related to the subject of the study during the past year. A qualitative method was also used to analyze the research data.
