چکیده:
Background and Objective: Adolescence is recognized as one of the most important stages of human life. During this period, individuals undergo extensive physical and psychological changes that significantly impact their behavior and thoughts. Due to these changes, adolescents often face internal and external crises and tensions, which can lead to the emergence of risky behaviors in them. To cope with these difficulties, different factors such as emotion control and hope for life play a vital role. These abilities help adolescents navigate through crises and gain more ability to adapt to conditions and cope with tensions. In this regard, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of emotional intelligence training on emotion control and hope for life in female adolescents in the city of Mashhad. Method: The research method was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of the research included all female adolescents studying in the second stage of Rabieh High School (10th, 11th, and 12th grades) in District 5 of Mashhad in the academic year 1402. From these individuals, 30 students were selected as the sample size using non-random volunteer sampling and meeting the inclusion criteria, and were randomly assigned into 15 people in the control group and 15 people in the experimental group; then the Bar-On (1997) emotional intelligence training program was taught to the experimental group in 13 ninety-minute sessions, once a week in a group format, and the control group received no training. The research tools included the emotion control questionnaire by Williams et al. (1997) and the hope for life questionnaire by Schneider et al. (1991). Analysis of covariance was used to analyze the research data. Findings: The results showed that group emotional intelligence training had a significant and positive effect on each of the variables of hope for life and emotion control in female adolescents aged 16 to 18 by 46 and 59 percent, respectively (P < 0.05). Given the results of the research, it can be said that emotional intelligence training was an effective method for increasing emotion control and hope for life in female adolescents. Conclusion: Due to the effectiveness of emotional intelligence training on emotion control and hope for life, it is recommended that education departments organize these trainings in the form of group workshops in schools for students, especially those who have low hope for life and low ability to control emotions. Additionally, this training can be conducted in therapeutic centers for adolescents who have low hope for life or lack the ability to control their emotions.

Given the research results, it can be said that emotional intelligence training was an effective method for increasing emotion regulation and hope for life in adolescent girls.
Results of Covariance Analysis Main hypothesis: Group emotional intelligence training has a significant effect on hope for life and emotion control in adolescent girls.
Conclusion Main hypothesis: Group emotional intelligence training has a significant effect on emotion control and hope for life in adolescent girls.
Based on the research findings, this hypothesis is confirmed, meaning that group emotional intelligence training has had a significant effect on at least one of the variables, hope for life and emotion control, in adolescent girls; furthermore, the results of the present research are consistent with the studies of Rashidi (1400), Heydarbeigi (1398), Navorzalyne 1 et al.
In this same direction, Heydarbeigi (1398) in his research showed that emotional intelligence training caused an increase in hope for life in adolescents.
