Violence and aggression are among the most important damages that endanger the mental health of individuals and society. Based on studies conducted in recent years, violence in schools, both among students themselves and among teachers with students, has increased more than in the past. Education and training is one of the vital pillars of society that directly affects the growth and development of future builders. One of the important challenges in the educational environment is the phenomenon of violence in schools, which can have deep and unpleasant effects on the psyche and individuality of students. Therefore, there is a felt need for solutions to prevent and control violence in the educational environment. Violence in schools is presented as a concerning and socially significant phenomenon. This phenomenon can take various forms, from physical to psychological, and can have significantly negative effects on students' academic performance as well as on promoting a sense of security and peace in the educational environment. The increase of this phenomenon can lead to the violation of the rights of children and adolescents, creating isolation, and stimulating a lack of self-confidence in students. Measures to prevent and control violence in schools are necessary not only from the perspective of improving academic progress and moral education of students but also serve as a fundamental principle in maintaining social and community security. Developing the educational system in light of this necessity requires the formulation and implementation of solutions that can, from the ground up, enhance educational contexts in a specific way so that violence, as a societal problem, is reduced in schools. Teaching communication skills, conflict resolution, and empowering individuals to share their experiences and feelings can help create healthy and respectful relationships in the school environment. These actions play a key role in increasing respect for differences, reducing tensions, and preventing the occurrence of violence. This article examines the why and the necessity of teaching violence prevention in schools.
