Unlike the classical period of Persian poetry, where choosing names for poems was not very common, naming poems in the contemporary period is considered one of the methods of interest to poets and, to put it better, one of the essential requirements of every poem. Poem names/titles—which are among the most selected words of each poet—play an important role in the structure of the poem, in addition to having various aesthetic functions. Given that one of the important ways to connect with poetry and achieve a correct understanding of it depends on the knowledge created from its constituent parts, examining and identifying the poem titles of each poet takes on special importance. In this article, an attempt was made to compare and analyze the poem titles of Forugh Farrokhzad and Sohrab Sepehri linguistically, literarily, and content-wise, and for this purpose, a statistical method was used.
