Mirage of Abundance: Pure Manifestations I have known Dr. Seyyed Mohammad Dabir-Siaghi, the renowned research professor and editor, for nearly forty-five years, and I am more or less aware of the hardships he has endured over fifty years to safeguard the sweet Persian language and the ancient culture of Iran. I have long held him in high esteem, and for the sake of reading his elegy, I have felt the weight of loss and faced the hostility of those who oppose culture, yet I continue to maintain his respect in my heart, as Dabir-Siaghi is one of the colleagues and helpers of the homeland. He is a unique sage whose honorable memory can never be distanced from my heart by the passage of time or the dusty turns of the ages. Many nights, I have sat watching the dawn of the first Persian cities rising on the horizon of Dabir-Siaghi's endeavor, and I have become enamored with the splendor of the rediscovered treasures of speech provided through Dabir-Siaghi's diligence. I have greatly benefited from the achievements of his knowledge, insight, effort, and the creation of his mind and taste in the cultural treatises of writers and the divans of poets, and I have had a continuously sweet remembrance of them; even though the stubborn bitterness of a forty-year-old memory... years of this hardworking researcher has sat in the distant memory of my mind, but my heartfelt gratitude and respect for all this effort in safeguarding Iranian culture has not been overcome.
