Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of teaching a seven-stage model of the learning cycle on improving creative thinking skills and problem solving in elementary students. The design of the present study was experimental and pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the study was all female students in the sixth grade of primary education in Dehgolan city in the academic year 2019-2020. Training (seven-step model of learning cycle) and in contrast, the control group did not receive any training. Torrance Creative Thinking Questionnaire (1981) and Hepner and Petersen Problem Solving Questionnaire (1982) were used to collect data. Data analysis was performed by statistical method of analysis of covariance. The results showed that training based on a seven-stage learning model significantly increases creative thinking skills: fluidity (P≥0.001), initiative (P≥0,000), flexibility (P≥0,000). ) And expansion (P≥0.034) and problem solving (Confidence in problem solving (P 000.002)), avoidance-passion style (P≥0.006) and personal control (P≥0.040) in The post-test stage, in fact, teaching using the seven-stage learning cycle model has increased these variables in the target community.
