Abstract:
Background & Aims:
Adolescence is one of the most important periods of life and the period of transition from childhood to adulthood. Anger management in adolescents can improve the identification process and also have an impact on adolescent emotional intelligence.
Materials & Methods:
the purpose of this paper was to investigate the effectiveness of anger management training on emotional intelligence and identification in adolescents. The research plan was applied in terms of practical purpose and semi-experimental in terms of implementation method with pre-test-post-test design with control group. To this end, 30 students from the statistical population of the first secondary school were selected by random sampling available and 15 were substituted in the experimental group and 15 in the control group. The collection tools included the Bar-An Emotional Intelligence Intelligence Questionnaire (EQi). And Bennon and Adams' questionnaire was found. The experimental group received 12 sessions of anger management training for 12 sessions per week, and no intervention was performed on the control group. Data analysis was performed by multivariate analysis of covariance.
Results:
The results showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the posttest stage in the emotional intelligence component (F = 0.06 and P )
Conclusion:
The results of the study showed that anger management training did not have a significant effect on emotional intelligence and also anger management training had a significant effect on identification. It is therefore recommended that anger management training programs be held in schools so that students can achieve the desired identity.
