Abstract:
fakhr-e-razi and mulla sadra are believers in bodily resurrection, but from two different perspectives. a comparison of their views reveals similarities in some fundamentals and fundamental differences in others. the origins of their differences are in philosophical foundations, especially the " bringing back of an annihilated thing " and the the celibacy of faculties. the rational proof of fakhr razi's bodily resurrection is accompanied by its belief and oneness with the bringing back of an annihilated thing to the object. this idea has false consequences, such as the materialization of the abstract dimensions of the soul in the resurrection.
contrary to fakhr-e-razi's claim that philosophers do not believe in the bodily resurrection, mulla sadra, for the first time as a philosopher, tried to prove it philosophically. of course, his philosophical approach, on the other hand, led to criticism of him; on the other hand, the secret of his immunity from other mistakes of theologians, including fakhr razi. by rejecting the bringing back of an annihilated thing, mulla sadra believed in the bodily resurrection of the hereafter, not the elemental bodily resurrection. for this reason, he no longer needed the theologians' theory of the "return of dispersed parts" of man to restore personal actions. another of their differences is the issue of multiplicity and abstraction of forces.
this article seeks to explanation the fundamental differences between these two thinkers in raising the issue of bodily resurrection.
