Abstract:
When Iran was conquered by the
Arabs, many Arab tribes and clans stayed in Iranian
cities and villages. A list of them has been
mentioned by Ya’quii in al -Buladan. There
were a number of Ansar companions from Aws
and Khazraj who came to Iran and a group of
them stayed in Zarand. Perhaps a few centuries
later, a man named Yusuf went to Baghdad to
study, and from there he went to Hijaz and settled
in Medina; His generation and descendants
increased in this city and they were known as
Zarandi. His son Shamsuldin Mohammed came
to Shiraz in 745 and died three years later. In
the meantime, he wrote some books two of
which were about the virtues of Ahl al -Bayt
(AS) and one about prophetic Sirah and the
history of Caliphs. The report that you will
read is about the history of this family and the
book of Shamsuddin Mohammad Zarandi and
a number of other works. He died in Shiraz and
was buried there.
