Abstract:
This article aims to analyze the spatial reflections of European convergence. Convergence and regionalism as two concepts imply the transition from the individualistic nature of the national government to the international society. In this community, which is based on common goals, intentions, policies and strategies, national governments delegate some of their powers to a regional institution and accept the superiority of the regional institution. Convergence in a geographical space has many reflections and effects. Political, economic, social, cultural indicators, etc. can be considered as effective phenomena of convergence. European convergence, which has created the most powerful regional institution in the world, has also had various reflections and effects in the European regional space. In this research, these reflections are evaluated in two spectrums of positive and negative reflections. Despite being the most powerful regional institution in the world, the European Union is currently facing major challenges. The intensification of anti-regional trends in Europe, and as a specific example of Brexit, can be one of the effects of the negative reflections of European integration. Depending on the degree of mobility and movement of people, their positive or negative attitude towards the union is different. This research was done by descriptive and analytical method and the method of collecting data is documentary and library.
