Abstract:
The Balanced Scorecard is one of the systematic management tools that has been used initially for performance measurement and subsequently as an efficient model in strategic management. Due to the importance of strategy formulation for one of the important sectors of the Iranian economy, this research is defined and addresses the elucidation of the strategic objectives of the Balanced Scorecard in the Iranian banking industry. The research method is a mixed-method (qualitative-quantitative), and its statistical population and sample are the banking industry and experts of the country's banking system. First, in the qualitative phase, strategic objectives were extracted through in-depth interviews and open questions with 30 experts of the banking system and summarized and classified with the help of the grounded theory method; then, in the quantitative phase, these objectives were confirmed through a questionnaire by 100 experts. Among the important results of this research, one can mention the identification and elucidation of seventeen strategic objectives in 4 perspectives of the Balanced Scorecard in the Iranian banking industry, which is also considered part of the innovation of this research.
