The use of allegory in ancient times among some tribes to teach and explain purposes has been
common. One of the characteristics of allegory is that it is used as a very efficient tool for teaching
mystical thoughts. Molvi states that a tanner whose job was to dress animal skins from feces and
dirt, one day happened to be in the market of perfume sellers. The smell of different perfumes
filled the market. But this unlucky tanner was upset by the smell of perfume because his clothes
were used to the smell of excrement and he fell on the ground and remained motionless and
unconscious for a while. People gathered around him from left and right and each of them tried to
bring him to his senses. One put rose water on his head and face and the other burned incense and
amber. None of these treatments helped him and he was still unconscious on the ground until one
of his brothers heard about this. As soon as Sargesen was informed, he grabbed the dog and ran to
the Attaran market and cleverly went over the head of the unconscious tanner and brought the
excrement close to his nose. After a while, the tanner was shaken and regained consciousness and
stood up. Everyone was surprised by this. The origin of this story is the story that Imam
Muhammad Ghazali gave in his kimiay of Saadat Bab Mohabbate and Reza, this article has
discussed the similarities and differences between the two stories with an analytical-descriptive
method and a comparative approach, and has stated that Rumi is the narrator of the story. has
started and stated that (that person) went to the Attaran market, but Ostad Hejar points out that (an
old man) went to the Attaran market and suddenly fainted. Rumi mentions that when that person
fell and people gathered around him, everyone said that he had fainted for some reason, one said
that he had drunk alcohol, and another said that he had smoked drugs, and when people could not
do anything, they informed his relatives. No one knows why he fainted, and Maulavi mentions that
he had a brother who came to him, but Ostad Hejjar mentions that a doctor was passing by and
when he saw that he had fainted, he treated him until he asked what his job was. Rumi mentions
that when his brother came and found out that he had fainted because of the smell, he brought
some dog dung and brought it to his nose. When he smelled it, he regained consciousness, but
Ustad Hejhar points out that when they said that the man was a tanner, it was The doctor said to
bring bird droppings and garbage, when they rubbed his nose, he regained consciousness. The
meaning of the story is because the smell of the hearts of those who oppose the right has nothing
to do with the life-giving smell of the truth. They don't take those vital spirits and avoid them and
put their hearts in baseless and vulgar thoughts.
