چکیده:
In the present era, two elements of knowledge and technology have gained significant importance in organizations. Sometimes organizations unintentionally forget their knowledge and skills due to information chaos, and sometimes they resort to conscious forgetting of knowledge and skills for greater agility. Some forgetfulness is beneficial and some detrimental to the organization. Information technology has provided a platform for organizations to have more ability to retain and forget knowledge and skills. The aim of this research is to investigate the role of electronic readiness in beneficial and harmful organizational forgetting. This research is applied in terms of purpose and survey-based in terms of data collection method. To test the conceptual model of the research, 109 questionnaires were distributed in the statistical population of the research (government organizations of Bushehr city) and the research hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling and AMOS software. The results of the research show that the level of electronic readiness has a positive impact on the level of beneficial forgetting and a negative impact on harmful forgetting.

Governments are among the most important elements of society, and their readiness to accept information technology is important, and their coordination in using electronic tools plays an important role in society (Aqili, Lari & Shabib, 1388).
Ziaei Pour, Mohammadian, Khosh-alhan & Taghizadeh (1390) believe that the dimensions of electronic readiness include the dimension of products and services, the managerial dimension, organizational, national, industrial, value, regional, international, individual, and the acceptance dimension.
The conceptual model of this research is based on measuring three variables (electronic readiness, beneficial forgetting, and harmful forgetting), and two causal relationships are tested in it.

The results of the research show that organizations that have more readiness in the field of information technology have a higher level of beneficial forgetting (confirmation of the first hypothesis).
