(Refer to the page image) The 24th Book Fair and 15th Art Exhibition of Istanbul, Turkey, was held internationally from October 8 to October 16, 2005, corresponding to Mehr 16 to 25 of this year, at the permanent premises of the TuyaP Exhibition and Organizing Company. The Istanbul Book Fair was inaugurated on the eighth day of the tenth month (October 16), Saturday, at 12 o'clock, in the presence of the Turkish Minister of Information, Binali Yıldırım, the President of the Publishers Union, Çetin Tuzuner, the cultural director of the exhibition, Deniz Kaвkçoglu, and the public relations manager of TuyaP company, Doğan Hizlan. This year, for the first time, Qasideh Sara Publications was present as the only participating Iranian publisher in the 24th Istanbul International Book Fair. It is regrettable that among the 750 Turkish and international cultural figures present at the exhibition, who had a significant physical presence in criticism and review sessions, there was no news of Iranian elements and personalities. In this exhibition, to commemorate the memory of Wesat Obner, one of Turkey's greatest deceased writers, a seminar was held by TuyaP company and Yapı Kredi Bank with the presence of 1500 participating publishers and artists, as well as prominent figures of Turkish literature, where participants were guests of the organizers for dinner before the start of the ceremony. In the poetry readings and lectures held in various cultural venues in Paris, the kindness of Iranians residing in Paris was felt by these two poets.
