Abstract:
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of neuromuscular training program on strength and performance of active females with leg dominant deficit . 26 females with leg dominant deficit (aged 18 to 25) were selected and randomly assigned into control and exercise groups . Isokinetic biodex system 3 (60 deg/sec) was used to measure dominant and non-dominant knee extensor and flexor peak torque and tuck jump was used to measure performance of the participants. Both groups performed a pretest prior to the experimental period and performed a post test two days after the experimental period. The ANCOVA and paired t tests were used for statistical analysis at a significance level of 95 percent. The scores on the pretest showed no significant difference between the experimental and the control groups (P > 0.05). The paired t test showed significant difference of strength and performance of experimental group (P < 0.05). While strength and performance data of control group showed no significant difference (P > 0.05). Also , on the post test, a between-group difference was found in the participants’ task scores (P < 0.05). Due to the effect of neuromuscular training on strength and performance of females with leg dominant deficit , the use of this training in prevention and rehabilitation program of these people were recommended.
