Conservative peddlers in whom the tendency to anonymity was more evident than in other groups, and were mostly the head or assistant head of the family. Disillusioned peddlers were a group of peddlers, mostly single young girls or divorced women, who turned to the profession for financial independence. Most of them were yesterday's employees or university graduates who did not find a suitable platform for their field of study. The peddlers were satisfied that the majority of the old subway vendors and women were caretakers or assistant caretakers in the family. They expressed satisfaction that they found themselves in a well-off society without any job restrictions.
