چکیده:
In this paper we investigate Halliday''s analytical approach of Systemic Functional Linguistics and explain concepts such as Ideational Metafunction،Interpersonal Metafunction،Textual Metafunction and material،verbal، behavioral،mental and relational processes. We then discuss the role of the Participants of Process،Actors،Inactive Persons،Carriers and Predicates،as well as the Circumferential Elements of the Lexical Plans from the point of view of Halliday. Based on this model،an analysis of Rumi''s «the Song of the Reed» is subsequently offered. In this introductory poem to his well known Masnavi،Rumi has used 21 Relational Processes،13Material Processes،7 Verbal Processes،4Mental Processes and 3Behavioral Processes. In addition،Molavi has mostly used linking verbs. Participants of Processes in «the Song of the Reed» mostly include the reed،the poet، anyone، and the companion. Among these participants،the reed،the poet and anyone have a higher frequency of appearance. Circumferential elements of this poem include location، time and quality elements. Rumi has most used positive lexical plans،rather than negative categories in «the Song of the Reed».

This article attempts to view the opening verses of his Masnavi, namely “Reed Flute” (Ney Nameh), from a different perspective, examining the systematization of its language and structure and paying attention to the hidden relationships between the linguistic elements of these verses.
This theory pays attention to different levels of processes and verbs, and by focusing on process participants and peripheral elements, one can access the hidden layers of the text's language and demonstrate the research results objectively and tangibly through the presentation of statistics and numbers.
Discussion and Investigation Examining and Analyzing Ney Nameh Based on Halliday’s Approach First, it should be said that the comprehensiveness of Molavi’s thought and the breadth of his language and meanings are such that he speaks both of the authenticity of the unseen world and of earthly, social, individual, and religious concepts.
Before we proceed to examine the components of Ney Nameh and explain Molavi’s thoughts in these verses, it is necessary to explain Halliday’s perspective: Systemic Functional Linguistics has good capacity in analyzing and studying literature, and Halliday’s theory, which was formed based on this approach, is noteworthy in demonstrating the subtleties of literary texts and their systematic analysis.
