The vocational-personality types in this study include: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional types, and entrepreneurial orientation includes the components of risk-taking, innovation, proactiveness, competitiveness, and independence.
Regardless of the terms used to describe entrepreneurial orientation, this construct is conceptually multidimensional and indicates the organization's tendency to maintain an aggressive competitive advantage through risk-taking and innovation against other commercial competitors, and regardless of the size and type of organization, it is applicable to any organization (Covin and Slevin 4, 1991) and (Lumpkin and Dess 5, 1996).
Brundin & Etal 16 Vocational and Organizational Counseling Quarterly / Volume 5 / Number 17 / Winter 2013 Since the goal of the present research is to predict changes in the dependent variable (criterion) based on changes in the independent variable (predictor), regression analysis was used, through which the effect of vocational-personality characteristics (independent variable) on entrepreneurial orientation (dependent variable) is examined.
Correlation matrix of research variables (Refer to page image) As can be seen in the table above, entrepreneurial orientation has a significant relationship with the social personality type (0.
Summary of entrepreneurial orientation regression analysis (Refer to page image) Also, the results of Table 2 show that the R2 value is the proportion of change in the criterion variable that can be explained and predicted based on the sum of the coefficients of the predictor variables, or attributed to it (Ferguson, 1989); therefore, according to the R2 values listed in the table above, the social personality type explains 4 percent of entrepreneurial orientation, which is a significant value.
The results of this research show that having a social type has an effect on individuals' entrepreneurial orientation.
