Abstract:
Since the Holy Qur'an was revealed in Arabic, accurate understanding of the words and its translation has always been of special importance for non-Arab speakers. Paying attention to the exact meaning of words is considered the most important step in correct translation and compliance with trustworthiness. The present research analyzes Persian translations by using the descriptive-analytical method and by selecting a case sample. The Quranic word asawer is because it expresses one of the blessings of heaven and one of the issues that has always occupied the human mind is heaven and divine blessings was chosen as an example. The research has been carried out in two stages: in the first stage, the word Asawar has been subject to lexical analysis, contextual analysis and review of commentators' and historians' opinions. These four stages can be used in analyzing the translation of all the words of the Holy Quran in any language. The results of the investigations at this stage showed that asawer plural sevar means any ornament that is related to the hand and surrounds it like a ring. In the second stage, the translations of the Qur'an in Persian language were examined and it was observed that all the translators had followed the results of the first stage. The important point is that none of the lexicographers, commentators and translators paid attention to the hereafter nature of the concept of asawer and placed it on par with the word “Asvera” which was used in a verse for worldly adornment.
