چکیده:
Boarding schools have accommodated a number of learners (students) from deprived and rural areas based on 'pre-collected programs and goals.' By evaluating the programs and functions of educators and having a clear picture of the educational and living status of the learners in these schools, it is possible to act to eliminate deficiencies and enhance strengths in these schools. The sample of this research included 73 students and 15 educators in two girls' boarding schools in Alborz province. These two schools were selected through purposive sampling from among 7 girls' boarding schools in this province that collectively have 9 middle school students. The tools of this research were a questionnaire and a researcher-made observation checklist, and the obtained data were organized and compressed according to their level of accuracy (measurement scale) and by obtaining representative statistics to provide a description of the existing situation. The findings show that meeting the nutritional needs of learners, the need for body cleanliness, and the need for attention require more effort from managers and officials. Additionally, boarding schools had no programs for utilizing the leisure time of learners or training the human resources needed for deprived and nomadic areas from among the local learners, and there are also deficiencies in the implementation of some programs, especially health programs and extracurricular educational programs.

Additionally, boarding schools did not have any programs for utilizing the leisure time of learners or training human resources needed by deprived and nomadic areas from among the local learners, and there are also deficiencies in the implementation of some programs, especially health programs and extracurricular educational programs.
Having a clear picture of the educational status of students in these schools—who, due to the lack of schools in their place of residence, have left their family environments and are experiencing a new social life alongside their peers—can provide the possibility of examining the suitability and adequacy of the programs compiled for this group.
(1378) In these types of schools, achieving goals such as creating educational justice to universalize education, increasing students' life skills, raising the quality level of education and reducing academic decline, training human resources for jobs needed in deprived areas and nomadic tribes of the country, optimal use of facilities and human resources, and providing suitable grounds for educating students by utilizing their leisure time, are considered; if correctly planned, good opportunities for training, education, and research in students can be provided and, ultimately, the determined goals can be achieved.
