چکیده:
In this research, with a comparative approach, two classic Persian texts (the stories of Bidpay and Kalila and Demna) have been examined based on their narrative methods. The hypothesis of the article is the existence of differences in the narrative styles of these two works, due to the presence of a spoken style in one and a written and scribal style in the other. The presence of the narrator at the beginning of the tales, the intra-textual and extra-textual narrator, the role of the narrator in highlighting vocabulary, the narrator's tone, the narrator's (speaker and writer) method of concluding at the end of the tales, the narrator's attitude toward the characters of the story, the explicit presence of the narrator at the end of the story, and how the narrative ends, are items that have been compared in the two books, and ultimately the research hypothesis (the difference between the two narratives in the storytelling method) has been proven.

PhD student in Persian Language and Literature, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Mashhad, Iran Received: 2011/08/21 Accepted: 2012/02/18 Abstract In this research, using a comparative approach, two classic Persian texts (Bidpay Stories and Kalila and Demna) have been examined based on their modes of narration.
The presence of the narrator at the beginning of the tales, the intra-diegetic and extra-diegetic narrator, the role of the narrator in emphasizing vocabulary, the narrator's tone, the narrator's method of drawing conclusions (speaker and writer) at the end of the tales, the narrator's attitude toward the characters of the story, the explicit presence of the narrator at the end of the story, and the manner of the narrative's ending, are the items that have been compared in the two books, and ultimately, the research hypothesis (the difference between the two narrations in the mode of narration) has been proven.
In this research, considering the role and position of the narrator, we have compared the "Story of the Lion and the Ox" in Kalila and Demna (translated by Nasrallah Manshi) and the stories of Bidpay, and have demonstrated the differences between these two texts.
The following example shows the difference in the narrator's tone in the two works: Bidpay stories Kalila and Demna The rabbit waited a while until the time when the lion's lunch was brought every day had passed slightly, then he rose and came slowly.
