چکیده:
The occupation of Palestine and Iraq's invasion of Iran, as two major events of the twentieth century, placed the lives of the people of these two lands under their shadow. In this midst, literature—especially poetry—as one of the domains of Palestinian and Iranian thought, witnessed a fundamental transformation. The poets of the two lands, alongside the enemy's attacks, rose shoulder to shoulder with the fighters against the invasion. Among these poets were Samih al-Qasim and Hassan Hosseini, who, through the creation of diverse poems, left a valuable legacy in the field of resistance poetry. One of the prominent features of this type of literature is the poet's striking use of symbolic and mythical themes. This research aims to examine the extent of the use of symbolic and mythical concepts in the resistance poetry of Samih al-Qasim and Hassan Hosseini and to present the similarities, differences, transformations, and semantic changes of these themes in the form of charts and tables documented. The research findings show that Samih al-Qasim and Hosseini used natural, human, animal, and spatial symbols and myths, but the symbolic and mythical themes of Samih's poems, compared to Hosseini's poems, possess more innovation, diversity, and expansion.

This research aims to examine the extent of the use of symbolic and mythical concepts in the resistance poetry of Samih al-Qasim and Hassan Hosseini and to present the similarities, differences, transformations, and semantic changes of these themes in a documented format using diagrams and tables.
However, what has made Samih al-Qasim and Hassan Hosseini inevitably use symbols and myths is not only the dominance of an atmosphere of suffocation, threat, intimidation, and occupation in Palestine, but also identity construction, ambiguity creation, adding depth, and seeking a way for the artistic and literary enrichment of their works through the path of symbolism and symbol-making, or the defamiliarization of previous symbols in the poetry of the two lands.
Poets, by using 2 mythical motifs and symbolic expression, engage in the re-creation of myths and, by portraying national and religious characters and relying on Islamic and Iranian values, awaken the spirit of defending Iranian culture and identity (Lak, 1384, Vol. 6, No. 22: 111-132), because when a land is attacked by foreigners, it needs hero-making and hero-worship; therefore, poets, by re-creating historical, national, and religious myths, addressed the defensive spirit of the nation and strengthened the feeling of power, endurance, and persistence against the authority of foreigners, and demonstrated their stability and steadfastness to the enemies.
Positive personal symbols and myths in the poems of Samih al-Qasim and Hassan Hosseini The Palestinian poet makes extensive use of the mythological, literary, historical, and religious heritage of nations.
