چکیده:
The aim of the present research is to investigate and analyze the design criteria of existing educational spaces in preschool and elementary school centers and to adjust them based on multi-dimensional planning. In this regard, both qualitative and quantitative methods have been utilized. The statistical population of this study consisted of existing documents and records regarding educational space standards and multi-dimensional planning criteria, and in the quantitative dimension, a simple random sampling method was used for 20 preschool and elementary school centers in District 3 of Karaj city. The data collection tool included a researcher-made checklist. In this study, frequency and charts were used for analyzing qualitative data, and the independent t-test was used for quantitative data. To document this process, centers that had implemented this planning were observed. The result is that adding these criteria to physical standards in spatial design can not only cover many educational limitations in current non-standard spaces through planning but is also considered a necessity in designing educational spaces based on new discussions in the field of educational space design. An emphasis point from the research was the importance of paying attention to the applicability of multi-dimensional planning for the optimal use of physical facilities and limitations and enriching learning opportunities from the perspective of the importance of planning in educational space design. Despite physical space limitations, preschool centers, based on multi-dimensional planning, succeeded in developing skills (existing criteria) in children that were not provided in other centers, especially in the primary period. These findings showed a significant and positive relationship between educational space design criteria based on multi-dimensional planning in the preschool period, but in elementary schools, this educational space is not very based on multi-dimensional planning; meaning it either lacks criteria defined based on multi-dimensional planning or its presence is incidental.

The statistical population of this study consisted of existing documents and records regarding educational space standards and multi-dimensional planning criteria, and in the quantitative dimension, a simple random sampling method was used in 20 pre-school and elementary centers in District 3 of Karaj city.
Main Question: How is the review and organization of educational space standards and criteria based on multidimensional planning in a sample population during the preschool and elementary periods in District 3 of Karaj city?
Sub-question: How is the organization and design of educational space in preschool and elementary centers based on activities and learning centers in multidimensional planning?
According to Table 2, it can be observed that the preschool period in District 3 of Karaj city possesses all the educational space standards and criteria based on multidimensional planning, but regarding the elementary period, it must be said that this period lacks 10 educational space criteria based on multidimensional planning (the criteria of classification, measurement, inference, prediction, hypothesis making, modeling and application, synthesis, expression of thought, problem solving, and aesthetics).
It is worth mentioning that in the elementary centers, which possessed some criteria and lacked others (observation, communication, collection, recording and interpretation of findings, experimentation, analysis, evaluation, creation of thought, citizenship, imagination, joy and kindness, individual independence, and diligence), it is not possible to express them absolutely and quantitatively or in numerical terms, because the criteria and centers are different.
